At actioncenterpaintball we have very strict rules on mask wearing. and on the velocity of the paintballs the standard outdoor velocity is 300 fps  here at action center we have had game with actual moving tanks with turrets and land mines with trip wire hand grenades and artificial artillery  some of or scenario game have even included 7 foot real missiles  running d sized engines  we have hosted the US army and had Blackhawk helicopters drop the paintball players onto the field  in the 19 almost 20 years we have done allot

Equipment in paintball

The paintball equipment used may depend on the game type, for example: woods ball, speed ball, or scenario ball; on how much money one is willing to spend on equipment; and personal preference. Almost every player, however, will utilize three basic pieces of equipment:

• Paintball marker: also known as a "paintball gun" or "marker", this is the primary piece of equipment, used to tag the opposing player with paintballs. The paintball marker must have attached a loader or "hopper" to keep the marker fed with paint, and will be either gravity-fed (where balls drop into the loading chamber), or electronically force-fed. A marker will require a compressed air tank or carbon dioxide for propellant.
• Paintballs: The ammunition used in the marker, paintballs are spherical gelatin capsules containing primarily polyethylene glycol, other non-toxic and water-soluble substances, and dye. The quality of paintballs is dependent on the brittleness of the ball's shell, the roundness of the sphere, and the thickness of the fill; higher-quality balls are almost perfectly spherical, with a very thin shell to guarantee breaking upon impact, and a thick, brightly colored fill that is difficult to hide or wipe off during the game.
• Mask or goggles: Masks are safety devices players are required to wear at all times on the field, to protect them from paintballs. They completely cover the eyes, mouth, ears and nostrils of the wearer, and masks can also feature throat guards. Modern masks have evolved to be less bulky compared with older designs. Some players may remove the mouth and/or ear protection for looks or comfort reasons, but this is not recommended nor often allowed at commercial venues.

Between games, players take a break to check their equipment, get more paintballs and have a snack or soda while they share stories about the thrills of victory and the usually funny agonies of defeat. Win or lose, everyone has a good time and there's usually the next game waiting for you.

Paintball Safety

, paintball players always must wear goggles and protective mask  specifically designed for paintball games  to protect their eyes., and face  Goggles must be worn during a game and any where on the field  and at all times when a person is in an area where shooting is permitted, such as the target range or chronograph area. A protective facemask is mandatory nearly everywhere, and should be worn regardless. Paintball is a very safe sport as long as safety rules are followed. Insurance statistics have shown that paintball is safer than golf, jogging, tennis, swimming and many other sports.

Referees on the field enforce safety and game rules. although here at action center we mostly just keep people safe our players are honorable and require very little refereeing .. No physical contact is permitted in the game, ever and players are ejected from games or the play site for breaking safety or playing rules. some  Fields have boundaries, our main field mostly does not which makes us unique  if  a player who steps outside a field's boundary is eliminated from that game.

The Game

Paintball is a sport played by people from all professions and lifestyles. our most popular packages are family parties, birthday parties and bachelor and dance parties. we also have a fair number of business parties which are always great  It is a sport where women and men compete equally, stamina is a big deal but strength is not  and where age is not dominated by youth. Like a game of chess, being able to think quickly and decisively is what makes you a star in paintball. Intelligence and determination, not merely strength, speed or agility, are key to success in the sport.

Paintball is a character-building sport.  Players learn about teamwork, gain self-confidence and develop leadership abilities while having fun and getting welcome stress-relief.  oh and did we mention stress relief ?  Increasingly, corporations are finding the benefits of having their staff and management participate in paintball games.
